Overview

How the platform is used

NEMT is not ADA paratransit. It is usually a Medicaid or health-plan benefit with its own eligibility, prior authorisation and claims path. Brokers and providers still need a live operations picture: who is riding, which vehicle is assigned, whether a return trip is standing by.

maas.maker treats NEMT as a service product with appointment times, dwell times at clinics, attendant requirements and no-show handling. It does not submit Medicaid claims and does not replace a broker's utilisation-management system.

Where a public transit agency also runs NEMT under contract, the same tenant can keep NEMT trips distinct from general-public microtransit so cost allocation stays clean.

Appointment-aware trips

Pickup is planned backwards from an appointment time with a dwell buffer, not from a generic wait window.

Clinic clustering

Several dialysis riders heading to the same centre can share a vehicle when medical notes allow.

Broker-ready records

Completed, cancelled and no-show trips export with timestamps. Claims logic stays in the broker system.

Least-necessary notes

Rider notes should describe boarding needs, not clinical diagnoses. Access to notes is role-based.

How a tenant goes live

Scope

We walk through service type, fleet, booking channels and the reports you already have to file.

Configure

Branding, stops, hours, vehicle classes and assignment rules land in one tenant.

Train

Dispatchers, drivers and coordinators practise on the live board before opening hours.

Go live

The first operating weeks are coached. Exceptions, not the happy path, are the real product.

What you actually buy

Modules you can combine. One tenant.

Start with booking, dispatch and the driver app. Add passenger apps, pooling rules, feeds and exports when the service needs them.
